Taking into consideration the talent available in Pune, what one misses is a platform and a window to display talent. There is a lack of general awareness and education towards appreciation of Theatre and performing arts. Understanding and appreciating good threatre is an art and a quality in itself. Constant exposure to such activities has been lacking, and a planned effort and approach was never attempted. Talent in Pune either moved to Bombay or ended up in miniature display of talent in family gatherings or being dormant in ones mind. The creative writing never got out of the mind, or the literature written decorated the shelves. The creative qualities met premature endings. Creativity thrives on appreciation; appreciation by classes as well as masses.

The broken hearts and shattered dreams of creative individuals have formed the very base of Niche Stagekraft’s, existence. Intimate Theatre

Niche Stagecraft has taken on the tremendous task of pursuing English theatre as a living art, moving with the time. Intimate theatre is about actors who long to get onstage as well as an audience that yearns for path breaking performances and experiments with the art of expressions. The intimacy between the performer and the spectator allows each expression of the performer to be seen clearly, each word absorbed, each nuance appreciated and every gesture noted. It is an interaction of the actor with his audience at its most basic, in a world where nothing else exists.

We are looking for new members and groups to join our welcoming and friendly society. Be it - doctors, housewives, bank officials, IT’ians, educationists and college students - all coming together bonded by their love of theatre.

We have formed a group which would present popular shows and at the same time, enable members to be a part of a progressive, young (at heart), and enthusiastic, forward thinking individuals.
