About Niche Stagekraft

Niche Stagekraft is involved in English Theatre Productions, Corporate performances, Corporate training, Corporate Events, Acting Workshops and Social Events. Niche Stagekraft was established in year 2002, by Mr. Jitendra R. Pawar, to revive the dying art form of English theatre. Since its inception, this English Theatre Production Company has grown stronger year on year. Today Niche Stagekraft is identified with quality, entertaining and prolific English theatre productions. With 20 productions against our name, since inception, we are confident of a brighter future with various mega productions in the pipeline.

The last production of Niche Stagekraft was  Life on a single bed!  A life a minute play, it was a rib tickling comedy based on the lives of 4 friends. The play was very well recieved and there are many reruns planned in Pune and other centeres in near future. Please check the site for details.

The next production of Niche Stagekraft is Y...Me! A harious play depicting crazy events happening in a day in a couple life. These promot htem to ask God - Y...Me!  It will be staged on Jan 18, 2009 Sunday @ 6.31 pm at Nehru Meomorial Hall. Near SGS Mall Camp.

Niche Stagekraft regularly hold auditions and casting sessions for its main stage and intimate theatre productions. Experienced and exceptionally talented individuals have been selected through this process. Weekend acting workshops conducted by Niche Stagekraft have been a steady supply line for trained and technically efficient actors. Lot of trained actors who have come through workshops are doing pretty well in the English theatre circuit. You could join one of the workshops and train to be an actor. Passion is the most important criteria. We at Niche Stagekraft believe that there is an actor hidden within every person. What you need is the art of polishing and presenting the actor to the world. The practical orientated weekend acting workshop is designed to help you discover that actor within you. All you require is passion for acting, will to work hard and efforts. Only variable aspect here is the time taken by different individuals to acquire the skills. Some might get it earlier than others. But there are no short cuts to efforts, practise, and training. Remember it’s a proven fact that persistence will help all achieve their goals.

Niche Stagekraft has its own unique play production process which has been successfully tried and tested over a period of 7 years. Our plays are produced in 4 weeks so the actors need to give 1 hour 3 days a week for the first 2 weeks and the duration of the length of the play in last 2 weeks. The Rehearsals are held in our practise hall which is conveniently located in the centre of Pune city and rehearsals timings are decided keeping in mind the availability of the actors. Niche Stagekraft’s productions and performances are actor friendly and practically designed.

The workshops conducted by Niche Stagekraft are practical oriented with 4 skits as practical projects and a play at the end of the workshop which is the final practical test for the workshop participants. So the performances start in the workshops itself. Niche Stagekraft’s annual turnover of plays is high, hence the scope for challenging roles is good and the actors always have a 'Next Challenging Level' to look forward to during their growth as an actor. They graduate from workshop plays to Intimate Theatre to Parallel Stage Shows to Main Stage productions. As is evedent every type of performance needs trained actors and there would be more than one opportunities available to perform on stage, for trained workshop participants.

We have people from various backgrounds who are workshop participants and presents actors. We have professional actors, IT entrepreneurs, IT professionals, Doctors, Businessmen, students, House wives, retired professionals. All are highly satisfied with their acting and creative ventures and have been with the production house for years. Niche Stagekraft has 6 main stage productions in a year and 4 intimate and parallel theatre productions. There are workshop plays too, performed by the participants of the weekend acting workshops. Generally the actors start with workshop plays and intimate theatre plays and then graduates on to doing parallel stage plays and finally main stage productions.

It’s a well known fact that top Actors from Mr. Amitabh to Mr. Shaharukh and most of the successful movie and television actors have been associated with stage acting before their foray into the electronic medium and movies. Theatre acting demands and promotes consistency and perfection because on stage there are no retakes. These qualities are a great asset in any medium of acting. An performer would have to fine tune his acting according to the requirements of the medium. And versitality of a theatre actor helps him to successfully do so. Hence stage actors stand out in the crowd as shimmering gold nurtured in the furnace called Theatre.

Acting as a career is a very satisfying job. The returns and the earning depend on your talent, success rate and the medium you are working in.
